There are many different ways you can participate at the Nine Lives Foundation!

We need folks with all sorts of skills:

  • Fundraisers
  • Grant writing
  • Special events
  • Building Maintenance (carpentry, electrical, tile-work, landscaping, etc.)
  • Public Relations (public tours, attending booths at fairs and adoption events)
  • Computer networking and hardware
  • Photography and graphics
  • Hands-on cleaners (scooping litter, mopping, doing laundry and dishes)
  • Become a Board member

All volunteers go through an orientation process, receive training and sign a waiver before beginning their activities at the shelter.

We also have regular group volunteer social meetings so you can meet the other helpers at the shelter.

Please note that volunteers under 16 years of age will be considered on a case-by-case basis and must have an adult (parent, guardian, teacher, scout leader, etc.) present. We are unable to accept volunteers for the purpose of fulfilling court-ordered community service obligations.

If you're interested in finding out where your niche could be with us, please fill out a volunteer application in PDF or in Word and email it to us. Our volunteer coordinator will contact you.

If you care about animals and are interested in joining the Nine Lives Foundation's Board, please click on this link for Board information.

If you don't have time to volunteer, but would still like to help, consider sponsoring one of our permanent residents!

Become a Foster Parent!
