Belle is a beautiful snowshoe siamese with medium-short hair and a big fluffy tail (Est. DOB 8/2009). A few months ago she was a scrawny, flea-laden ten-month old kitten busily devoted to her own litter of kittens. She is now flea-free, spayed, vaccinated, and gradually gaining weight. Once her kittens grew up and were adopted Belle shed her parental responsibilities she is now acting more like the youngster she really is. She has started to be more active and has rediscovered play!! Belle enjoys surveying the outside world through the window and loves to have her beautiful coat brushed. Belle likes attention, and she can be quite talkative when looking for food or affection. Although she is very affectionate in her own way, she is not a big fan of being picked up or spending long periods of time on your lap. Instead, she stays close enough for a pat and follows her people around the house, even sleeping close by at night. Belle seems to get along fine with other adult cats and would probably do well in a multi-cat family. To arrange a visit with this wonderful cat please call her foster family at: 650-620-9389 or 650-620-9389

Belinda is a lovely, petite, spayed, DSH, cream, grey and white dilute calico girl. Belinda is a came to us as a really shy girl (mostly scared) who from Fremont Animal Shelter on 2/12/10 with her sister Berry after they were taken from an Animal Hoarder. Because both girls were so shy, they were scheduled to be put to sleep. Belinda and Berry both seem to be warming up these days. We estimate the two were born around 6/9/09. Belinda is so, so affectionate if you take the time to get to know her. She needs a quiet home without a lot of activitiy but she'll offer loving companionship for the rest of her days. Sounds like a good trade to us.

Big Red is very a very handsome, orange tabby, DSH male. A little on the plus side, we think Big Red is around 3 years old (Approx DOB: 6/05). He's a quiet mellow boy who can't get enough head rubs. Such a loving boy he likes to roll over so you can pet his tummy. He is a sweetie and certainly came from a home where he knew love. People friendly is he but is not a lap cat
and he's not wild about other cats. He loves to sit in the window and look outside and is a very quiet easygoing fellow. He would be a great companion for someone wanting a loving sweet boy. He has gorgeous eyes and he is looking for that special person to adopt him and take him to his new home.

boy a chance. To learn more about Billy the Kid click here to send an email to our volunteers. Feline-ality Type: Sidekick |

Boris is a handsome, neutered, sweet, if slightly shy, grey tabby and white tuxedo boy. Boris was mauled, maybe by a dog, before ending up at the Fremont Animal Shelter. Brioche is a lovely 10 year old, de-clawed calico kitty who came to us early in 2006 from Martinez Animal Shelter. Brioche would love to be the companion for a Senior will dote on her and let her laze about in sunny window sills and on the couch curled up close. Children, dogs and other kitties easily overwhelm this girl so the life of leisure as an only kitty would be ideal for her. Brioche will do fine with one or two other kitties if she gets enough love from her people. Brioche should not go to a home with children under the age of 5 years of age as she can bite if over stimulated or picked up. Brioche doesn't like to be picked up at all. Brioche nearly starved to death, due to illness when she arrived, and appears to be making up for it now. She's overweight and really needs to go to a home whe someone will manage her weight and control her diet. To hear more about Brioche click here to send an email to our volunteers. Jesse
and Amanda Harlin are sponsoring Brioche, in honor of Avis and Mimsy. |

Cami is a beautiful gentle older girl with a knack for finding the softest spot available to sleep. She's quiet mellow and while she loves attention, she's more of a layabout lap cat, than follow-you-about companion. Casey and Leo are a wonderful bonded pair and we will not separate them. Casey is a tiny, but solid, DSH, spayed, brown tabby girl (Est DOB 2001). She has really come out of her shell since her arrival and she's really become quite the talker! She chatters at you constantly, asking how you are and for love, pretty please. She'll even hop on your shoulder if you bend over near her. She's a big love, love, love! And petite compared to her big brother.
Leo is a neutered, front paw declaw, male, gray tabby Maine Coon / Domestic Long Hair mix (Est DOB 2001). Leo is a bit slower to warm up. He recently got out of the kitty condo they shared and is loose in our shelter. We're trying to round him up and put him back in his cage. He's very pet-able and gentle but is so very scared in the shelter. I think the stress of their drastic change of circumstances has been really hard on the giant fuzz muffin. Once you've earned his trust, Leo will let you spend quality time scratching his chin and gently stroking him. Their previous owner was a single older lady who had them all of their lives before she was forced to move into an assisted living facility where she couldn't take them.

Fiona is a very pretty 2 year old, DMH, Calico who has had a very tough life. We pulled Fiona from San Jose Animal Care and Control in the early spring of 2006. We spayed her and found for her what we had hoped was a loving forever home. This June Fiona was returned with the comment that she was "feral" and she'd spent the entire year after her adoption living outside and running from her adopted family. Upon examining her we discovered the horrible truth. We're not sure when it happened, but Fiona had managed to push her front leg through her collar until it lodged in her armpit and began to dig in and cause her a great deal of pain. By the time we got her back the wound was old and very infected from months of festering. Since June 2007 she's been recovering in our hospital with loads of antibiotics and loving care. She's begun to remember that people are not all out to hurt her and we tell her every day how sorry we are that we allowed her to be adopted by someone who cared so little for her well being. We plan to ensure that her next home is the "right" home and that she has a happily ever after. Can you offer her that home? To learn more about Fiona click here to send to our volunteers. |

Nerval is a beautiful, DSH, spayed, dilute tortie girl (est DOB 8/08). She came to us on 12/1/09 from the Kings County Animal Shelter. Nerval is one of the shelter's adoption counselors. She waits at the front desk, helping out families as they fill out their adoption applications and she drapes herself in available laps as folks do their exit interviews. We've tried to explain that she'd be better served loving on people before they've made up their minds, but she's executive material, overseeing it all.
She was an owner surrender to the Kings County shelter with two other kitties, Timmy and Mocha (Mocha has since been adopted). Nerval and Timmy are very social but neither of them does well in a cage, even a large play cage. They seem happiest when wandering around the shelter. They both do well with other cats when they have room to roam. Nerval loves people and will come sit on you for some love and attention.

Remy is a handsome, neutered, DSH, black and white tuxedo boy who was born around July 21st, 2008. Remy loves other kitties. Remy has become extremely shy and reclusive since his arrival to our shelter. If you are slow with his and give him time, he will happily let you hold him in your arms and love him gently. Domini Dragoone, who sponsors Remy said, "When I held him, he relaxed into my arms and tucked his head under my chin and sighed— I firmly believe him to be a wonderful guy, just really tired of the bustle of shelter life. I wanted to advocate for him, since he seems too shy to do it himself. I know that if he were to get the relative peace and quite of his own home, he would be a wonderful, gentle, and intuitive companion. He was very affectionate with me and liked the attention, and has that special way about him of talking to you with his heart. (also, was super mellow and good with the other cats.) I cross my fingers that someone with a few minutes of patience notices him, and gives him a chance to come back out of his shell and be a stellar housemate." Roxy is a (est. DOB 3/06), DSH, front paw declaw, spayed female. Roxy was adopted out from us as a kitten and her first owners had her declawed at 3 months old. Roxy had many issues afterward, fear and stress in her home. She was returned and adopted out again to another home that kept her for 2.5 years. While they loved Roxy very much, they said she bites when over stimulated or stressed out and with young children in the house they thought a different home would be best for her. Roxy is a great cat. She's really blossomed in the last few months and loves attention. She's shown no signs of biting or being mouthy in months. We think, in a home with no small
children to pull on her tail or pester her, that she'll be a wonderful companion. To learn more about Roxy click

Star is a 7-yr-old spayed female flame-point Siamese cat with blue eyes and a pink nose. She is shy at first but very affectionate once she gets to know you. She loves to be held, petted, and brushed. She likes toys, catnip, canned food and treats. She is from a feral colony and has never lived indoors before, so will need a quiet, calm home (indoor/outdoor ok). She is not familiar with dogs or kids, so an adult only/cat only family would be best. Star has flea dermatitis and will chew her feet and tail when bitten by fleas, so management is necessary. Timber is a brown tabby and white tuxedo, spayed, DSH, (est. DOB 3/08) female who came to us from Kings County Animal Shelter on 5/7/09. Timber is an affectionate girl with a goofy, playful personality. Timber loves to be held and will give
kisses. She probably shouldn't go to a home with really little kids though as her kisses sometimes lead to nibbles. To learn more about Timber click

Vanity is an affectionate, DSH, brown tabby and white girl (est. DOB 10/2007) who will lean her entire body into you for pets. She gets along with every cat she meets. Come take a look at this stunning beauty. She's so soft that she feels like velvet. She'd be wonderful to snuggle up with any night. She hates to be picked up by strangers but will tolerate it once she gets to know you. She will happily sit in your lap or wiggle around in delight while you pat her and tickle her tummy. Vanity is extremely playful and a wonderful acrobat.

Vixen is a stunningly beautiful, spayed, senior, Maine Coon mix girl (est. DOB 2000). She came to us from the Dublin Animal Shelter in danger for biting. A few of the volunteers there reached out to us to safe her as they felt the label was unfair. She's a wonderful cat who can be mouthy when overstimulated and handled by non-cat savvy people. So she should probably not go to a home with small children. Vixen would really love a mellow older person looking for a loving companion who doesn't mind that she's an old lady. We think she's got a good 8 to 10 years of loving companionship left to her.

Willies (Wilhemina) is an all black, very adorable, a little chubbier and slightly plusher than the rest, super affectionate. She is more low key than siblings and likes to observe and will occasionally join in the play. She would be a good lap kitty or cuddler. She will throw herself to the ground or any surface really and do "roly pollies" for your attention and love.
She is well-behaved with litterbox and scratching pole and toys. Like her siblings, she is a good eater, and not picky, although more fond fo dry food than wet food.Of her and her siblings, her foster fmaily says, "They do a funny thing - the way they give "kisses" is by sniffing your face, neck, hair and breath - it tickles! A few of them will reach out with their paws and gently touch your face when you are holding them."
