Amy was a momma girl in April of last year who came to us from the Cat house on the Kings after being pulled from the Fresno SPCA. She went to another rescue with her kittens, who were all adopted, but she was returned with the comment that she was unadoptable. Amy is goofy, sweet, gentle and playful. She's cat friendly and a stunning example of a lazy lap cat. We think everything about her would make her a wonderful companion cat. To learn more about Amy click here to send an email to our volunteers.

Annie Oakley Annie Oakley is a sweet, petite, FeLV+, DSH, spayed, brown tabby female (Est. DOB 5/08). Annie is a tiny but solid girl at 7lbs. Bast Bast is a gentle, handsome, neutered, Chocolate Point Siamese / Snowshoe, DSH, male (est. DOB 6/20/07). Bast came to us as a feral 10 week old kitten in September of 2007. To learn more about Bast click here to send an email to our volunteers.

Beatrice Beatrice is a gorgeous, 2 year old Himalayan/Ragdoll mix. She was on the list to be PTS at San Francisco Animal Control. She was turned in because she started beating up the 18 year old cat she lived with. She hissed when she got to the shelter, so they would not adopt her out. She does fine once she's out of a cage, but becomes very stressed out and aggressive once she's put into a cage. Beatrice loves to be groomed and was very patient when her mattes were being combed out. She had a rough start here but we can't say enough great things about this girl now. In fact, she's become such a friendly, outgoing cat that the staff checked her microchip to make sure it was the same cat. Beatrice is a total doll who would make a wonderful companion and lap cat. To learn more about Beatrice click here to send an email to our volunteers.

Beau Beau is a handsome, affectionate, 7 year old (DOB: 5/2002) neutered male. Beau came to us in May from the Martinez Animal Shelter where he was due to be PTS for ringworm. Beau is a quiet boy who does well with other cats, in small numbers, and likes attention. He's slow to warm up to new people though and would probably not want to live in a home with young, active children. Beau's dream home would include a couch with sun to bask in and lots of quality laying about. To learn more about Beau click here to send an email to an email to our volunteers.

Becca Becca has been adopted.

Bentley Bentley a.k.a. Bat Cat is a handsome 3 year old, all black, neutered male who came to us from the San Jose Animal Shelter. He's FIV-/FeLV-, to our great suprise. Big Red Big Red is very a very handsome, orange tabby, DSH male. A little on the plus side, we think Big Red is around 3 years old (Approx DOB: 6/05). He's a quiet mellow boy who can't get enough head rubs. Such a loving boy he likes to roll over so you can pet his tummy. He is a sweetie and certainly came from a home where he knew love. People friendly is he but is not a lap cat and he's not wild about other cats. He loves to sit in the window and look outside and is a very quiet easygoing fellow. He would be a great companion for someone wanting a loving sweet boy. He has gorgeous eyes and he is looking for that special person to adopt him and take him to his new home. To learn more about Big Red click here to send an email to our volunteers.

Bigfoot Bigfoot is a handsome, DLH, black, polydactyl male (est. DOB 8/09). Bigfoot gets on well with other kitties and likes people and loves to cuddle but can be spooked by cameras. The flash is very scary. To learn more about Bigfoot click here to send an email to our volunteers.

Billy the Kid Billy the Kid is a handsome, red / orange tabby, neutered, DSH boy (est. DOB 3/06). Billy was found as a stray and brought to the San Jose Animal Care and Control where he was scanned and his microchip was used to track down his people. Sadly, his people weren't interested in saving Billy from certain death that his scarred eyes meant at SJACC. Fortunately, Billy quickly became a staff and volunteer favorite and we were contacted on 4/24/09 to give this awesome boy a chance. To learn more about Billy the Kid click here to send an email to our volunteers.

BJ BJ is a 5 year old (est. DOB 4/04), neutered, black and white male who came to us earlier this year from Martinez Animal Shelter with a broken jaw. "Broken Jaw" kitty, soon became simply BJ. Very mellow and laid back, this boy would be a great cat for someone looking for a buddy of a cat to hang out with. BJ loves chin scratches and sleeping in sun rays. He has become a bit withdrawn and stressed in the shelter and would really benefit from being adopted or getting out of the shelter into foster care. Won't you give this boy a loving forever home? To learn more about BJ click here to send an email to our volunteers.

Blair Blair is a petite, spayed, brown tabby, front paw declaw, DSH female. Blair came to us from the Kings County Animal Shelter on 2/26/10 after she was found wandering the streets. Bluebell Bluebell has been adopted.

Brandy Brandy is a pretty, (est. DOB 9/05), spayed, DSH, black female who came to us on 4/3/09 from the Martinez Animal Shelter. Brandy is a shy girl who seems to be getting more withdrawn and antisocial the longer she's in the shelter. She would probably be really happy in a quiet home as an only kitty that would let her slowly blossom and come around. She has the potential to be a nice roommate kitty but will likely never be a lap cat or carry about kitty. To learn more about Brandy click here to send an email to our volunteers.

Brenda Brenda is a very sweet, gentle and friendly girl. Brenda is a brown tabby and white, DSH, tuxedo girl (est. DOB 1/2009). Brenda is FIV+. To learn more about Brenda click here to send an email to our volunteers.

Brioche Brioche is a lovely 10 year old, de-clawed calico kitty who came to us early in 2006 from Martinez Animal Shelter. Brioche would love to be the companion for a Senior will dote on her and let her laze about in sunny window sills and on the couch curled up close. Children, dogs and other kitties easily overwhelm this girl so the life of leisure as an only kitty would be ideal for her. Brioche will do fine with one or two other kitties if she gets enough love from her people. Brioche should not go to a home with children under the age of 5 years of age as she can bite if over stimulated or picked up. Brioche doesn't like to be picked up at all. Brioche nearly starved to death, due to illness when she arrived, and appears to be making up for it now. She's overweight and really needs to go to a home whe someone will manage her weight and control her diet. To hear more about Brioche click here to send an email to our volunteers.

Brittany Brittany is a sweet, DSH, spayed petite girl (est. DOB 4/09). Brittany is a gentle girl who loves to snuggle and play. To learn more about Brittany click here to send an email to our volunteers.

Bubba Bubba is a giant lug of a boy. Neutered recently, this strapping boy still has the giant cheeks that come from being an intact boy for most of his life. Bubba is a Polydactyl Chocolate Point Siamese boy. He was found living in the suburbs of Hollister as a scrawny stray and came to the attention of loving NLF supporters after he got beaten up in a cat fight. We've treated him, but sadly Bubba now is FIV+. He does well with some cats, but because he's FIV+ and has a tendency to fight with other boy cats, he should probably be an only kitty or live with other FIV+ cats. He'd be great with some of our FIV+ girls like Whiskers or Zoe. To hear more about Bubba click here to send an email to our volunteers.

Buddy Buddy is an adorable, uber playful, snuggly, DSH, brown tabby and white boy (est. Emerald Emerald is a pretty, petite, senior, DLH, grey tabby girl. Emerald is a quiet girl who seems to get along great with other kitties and adores people. Felix Felix is a sweet, (est. DOB 2/97), DSH, white and brown tabby, FIV+, neutered male. Felix is a dear old boy, friendly and outgoing. Felix has out grown his kitten hood and besides laying on your lap, his only agenda is to find a comfy place for his next nap. Because he's FIV+ and an old man, an indoor only home would be best. Fiona Fiona is a very pretty 2 year old, DMH, Calico who has had a very tough life. We pulled Fiona from San Jose Animal Care and Control in the early spring of 2006. We spayed her and found for her what we had hoped was a loving forever home. This June Fiona was returned with the comment that she was "feral" and she'd spent the entire year after her adoption living outside and running from her adopted family. Upon examining her we discovered the horrible truth. We're not sure when it happened, but Fiona had managed to push her front leg through her collar until it lodged in her armpit and began to dig in and cause her a great deal of pain. By the time we got her back the wound was old and very infected from months of festering. Since June 2007 she's been recovering in our hospital with loads of antibiotics and loving care. She's begun to remember that people are not all out to hurt her and we tell her every day how sorry we are that we allowed her to be adopted by someone who cared so little for her well being. We plan to ensure that her next home is the "right" home and that she has a happily ever after. Can you offer her that home? To learn more about Fiona click here to send to our volunteers.

He needs to be indoor only because of his FIV+ status. Pillsbury would be best as an only kitty as he doesn't seem to get along with other cats. Rebecca Rebecca is a petite, spayed, black and white, semi feral girl who has been with us since she was six weeks old. Rebecca came to us from SJACC on 10/14/07 with her siblings Rafe and Ramona. We don't know that she would know how to take care of herself though, having been with us her whole life. To learn more about Rebecca click here to send an email to our volunteers.

Roxy Roxy is a 3 year old (est. DOB 3/06), DSH, front paw declaw, spayed female. Roxy was adopted out from us as a kitten and her first owners had her declawed at 3 months old. Roxy had many issues afterward, fear and stress in her home. She was returned and adopted out again to another home that kept her for 2.5 years. While they loved Roxy very much, they said she bites when over stimulated or stressed out and with young children in the house they thought a different home would be best for her. Roxy is a great cat. She's really blossomed in the last few months and loves attention. She's shown no signs of biting or being mouthy in months. We think, in a home with no small children to pull on her tail or pester her, that she'll be a wonderful companion. Scotty Scotty is an old, neutered, black and white tuxedo boy. We think he may be 16-18 years old. He was a sick stray living on the SRI campus in Menlo Park when one of our volunteers took him in. We're pretty sure he's a resident, but if you're looking to be a guardian angel, Scotty would love a warm spot by your fire. To learn more about Scotty click here to send an email to our volunteers.

Smokey Smokey is a 7-yr-old neutered male, gray & white DSH. He is shy at first but loves to be petted, brushed, held and carried around like a baby. He likes toys, catnip, canned food & treats. He is from a feral colony and has never lived indoors before, so will need a quiet, calm home (indoor/outdoor ok). He is not familiar with dogs or kids, so an adult only/cat only family would be best. Smokey has a left ear crop as a sign that he is part of Lisa Crawford's spayed/neutered feral cat colony. She is well-behaved with litterbox and scratching pole and toys. Like her siblings, she is a good eater, and not picky. A few of them will reach out with their paws and gently touch your face when you are holding them." To learn more about Sugar Bear click here to send an email to our volunteers.

Susan Susan is a friendly, outgoing 3 year old, all black DSH, spayed female. Susan is very gentle with other cats but can be a little slow to warm up to new people. She gets scared easily, but we think that once she's found her forever home she'll find a level of confidence that she seems unable to find in the shelter. Susan loves to have people pay her attention but is wary of new people approaching her. Trust and confidence in the love of her own person or people is all she really needs. She would make an excellent second cat or first, for that person looking for that special friend. To learn more about Susan click here to send an email to our volunteers.

Tandori Tandori is a very thin, spayed, Flame Point Siamese mix girl who came to us on 5/9/08 from the Los Banos. Tandori is very friendly and loves to be petted and cuddled in your lap. Tandori is much skinnier than her ideal, and while she came to us that way, we think any home who takes her should be aware that she'll need some TLC. We've removed her Thyroid and Tandori is gaining weight and looking better everyday.. We're not sure about her age, she looks old but it may just may due to poor weight as her teeth are in good condition. We're guessing she's anywhere from 12 to 15 years old. She's very friendly with people and tolerates other cats but may do best as an only kitty. To hear more about Tandori click here to send an email to send an email to our volunteer staff.

Tex came to us on 11/22/08 from the Fremont Animal Shelter. To hear more about Tex click here to send an email to our volunteer staff.

Theo Theo is a charming 2 year old, Lynx Point, DMH Siamese male. Theo came to us from a cat colony in Northern California in October of 2006 as a 6 week old kitten. Affectionate, cuddly and a bit of a shoulder monkey, this boy is known to be hard to get out of your lap. He is very vocal and is known to wander through his foster family's house while chatting away. He also loves to sit in the window and chat at the birds and squirrels. He's currently out in foster care and has Feline Stomatitis, essentially a chronic case of Gingivitis. We're hoping it will resolve itself as he grows up, but if it doesn't he's likely going to have to have all of his teeth pulled. He has been neutered and has tested negative for FIV and FeLV. Viggo is a lovely boy who slams his head into you for head butts and rolls over for body rubs. He's a gentle giant, but can get mouthy when over stimulated so he should go to a home without children. Viggo is FIV+ so he should be an indoor only kitty. To hear more about Viggo click here to send an email to our volunteer staff.

Vixen Vixen is s stunningly beautiful, spayed, senior, Maine Coon mix girl (est. DOB 2000). She came to us from the Dublin Animal Shelter in danger for biting. A few of the volunteers there reached out to us to safe her as they felt the label was unfair. She's a wonderful cat who can be mouthy when overstimulated and handled by non-cat savvy people. So she should probably not go to a home with small children. Vixen would really love a mellow older person looking for a loving companion who doesn't mind that she's an old lady. She's a very sweet girl who loves to hang out in your lap and snuggle so the volunteers at FAS called and asked us to take her. Whiskers needs a safe, permanent, indoor only home where she can enjoy the love of a family of her own. Whiskers loves to be held and cuddled. She's a solid girl who wraps her paws around your neck and hugs you back. She drools a little when she's happy and has been known to leave a wet spot on your shoulder after a long hug.
