Feral Cat Information
PHS/SPCA - offers County residents a feral cat package with two goals in mind: to make using their services, including our Spay/Neuter Clinic, easy and to continue offering discounted services to people who need assistance with feral cats in San Mateo County. They encourage TTVAR (trap, test, vaccinate, alter, return) where caretakers are willing and able to provide ongoing care for ferals. They offer trap rentals ($50 deposit and $1/day rental fee) through our Front Office.
The Homeless Cat Network (HCN) - provides advice, assistance and mentoring to individuals, public agencies and businesses. They offer training in humane trapping, socialization, foster care, colony management and adoption procedures.
Alley Cat Allies - A national feral cat network, founded in 1990 that's a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization promoting non-lethal control for feral cat colonies and humane methods to reduce the population of feral cats.
FCCC Humane Trap Rental- an organization that provides good info on what traps to use and how to go about trapping feral cats.
